EL NIDO 2014!

So apparently, summer’s not yet over for us. For the first time in my 22 years of existence, I got the chance to ride an airplane heading to Puerto Princesa, Palawan! But our real destination was of course, in El Nido. πŸ˜€ Yes, it was my first ever travel experience from since I started working and earning my own money. So I was very verrrryyyy excited that time! Can’t erase the thought in my mind that “it’s happening! It really is!”. Thanks to Air Asia Zest’s piso fares!! πŸ˜€

We boarded the plane at around 10AM and arrived in PP at around past 11AM. The whole ride was approximately 45mins-1hr. I was busy taking photos while we were up in the sky. How I even wished to take home some clouds, but of course it’s just one of my silly ideas. πŸ˜›

So… This is how it feels to be as high above the clouds. πŸ™‚

The transpo hours from PP to El Nido is approximately 5-6 hrs! That’s going to be a long ride. So before heading to our real destination, we went toΒ Badjao Restaurant as suggested by our kuya Driver (of the van we rented) to fill our tummies since it’s already almost time for lunch.

Badjao Restaurant is like a floating restaurant. The view from inside the place is very relaxing and the sound of the ocean waves gave me the most comforting thought that I am finally away from the city and the stress of work even just for a short period of time!!

“Superb!”

Apparently, there are no photos of that great lunch we had since it got ransacked by all of us. Haha! We only have a photo after we’ve indulged!

Here are the cool guys I was with for 4D and 3N. I didn’t know them personally until that day. They were my boyfriend’s officemates. Nakisabit lang kami sa piso fare nila! Haha. But nonetheless, they were all kind to me. Happy to have met ’em. πŸ™‚

As I was saying, the ride to El Nido’s such a long. long way to go. So when we arrived in town proper of El Nido, it was 6:30PM already. All we did was just to eat our dinner and take some rest to gear up for tomorrow’s wonderful journey.

The next day… The adventure began… YEEEEEEEEEEAH! πŸ™‚

The sky was cloudy that time, and the rain actually poured really hard that morning.

But then, voila! The rain stopped, so we immediately rode the boat. This will be one hellova ride! πŸ˜€

(The waves are actually really scary, mind you. But we survived! Thank God! I thought the boat’s going to flip. Hihi)

…And, one of my favorites, too! Ang ganda talaga dito, promise!

El Nido is so beautiful and it broke my heart when Sunday came because it means I’ll be bidding my goodbye to one of the wonderful creations of the Lord. The trip is really pricey, but it’s definitely worth spending money for! I hope to be back in Palawan in the future to visit the other wonders of the Philippines! Coron and underground river in PP, you’re both in my list. See you soon! For now, ipon muna ulit!! HAHA

Until next time, Palawan!
